Be an Orphan Advocate
There are several ways for individuals, churches, groups, and other organizations to get involved with Providence to build relationships with and improve the lives of orphans and widows throughout the world. From assisting with research of best practices in orphan care, organizing an event for Providence, being a Providence Ambassador, or helping with Providence’s office needs from here in the United States, to building relationships with our La Providencia community in Honduras, to providing medical or dental care or working with our staff to develop businesses or providing medical care at La Providencia, to praying and encouraging us from your own home, we have something for everyone who wants to become part of the Providence family.
Contact us if you want more information about opportunities for involvement or are interested in deepening your relationship with Providence through one or more of these opportunities.
We facilitate developmental relationship-building trips to La Providencia and the surrounding communities by churches, schools, and other organizations who focus on helping us move La Providencia toward self-sustainability. In addition, we serve children as well as adults throughout Honduras with medical missions teams that conduct orthopedic, hernia, cleft lip and palette, dental, and eye surgeries. We have performed over 700 surgeries to date and hope to perform more quantity along with surgeries of all types in the future.
We can work with you to put together an effective and memorable visit to La Providencia that will greatly impact your team members and enable you to work with the people of Honduras. Please click the link below and contact us today if you are interested in trips to La Providencia. We are grateful for your interest and look forward to partnering with you in this great ministry to change the way orphans and widows are cared for around the world.
Organize an Event
We would love to have events all over the world to raise awareness about what God is doing in and through Providence to improve orphan, widow and at-risk community care, but we lack the human resources to make that happen. Fill that gap by contacting us today about how you can join our team by putting on an event to raise awareness and funds for Providence in your community.
Research & Development
At Providence, we’re working to prevent the tragic consequences of the current state of orphan care by improving and bringing excellence to orphan care communities around the world through extensive research of issues relevant to orphans’ lives and existing orphan care models, a collaborative book project, other thought leadership, and the development of our incubator model community, La Providencia.
We currently are partnering with universities, colleges, and other orphan care organizations to create a framework that will inform the ongoing global conversation on how to bring excellence and best practices to orphan care communities.
For more information about Providence’s Research and Development, to participate in the collaborative book project, and/or to help us research orphan care anywhere in the world, drop us a line, and we will contact you.
